ARAKANI ROHINGYA SCHOLARS FORUM

NGO Survey Support

Welcome to the Arakani Rohingya Scholars Forum: Supporting NGO Surveys for Human Rights and Development

The Arakani Rohingya Scholars Forum (ARSF), we are committed to improving the lives and advancing the rights of the Rohingya people, particularly in areas such as education, community development, and social empowerment. One of the key ways we support these efforts is through NGO survey initiatives aimed at understanding the challenges faced by Rohingya communities, gathering data for advocacy, and shaping effective humanitarian strategies.

Our Mission: Empowering Through Knowledge and Action
The Arakani Rohingya Scholars Forum is dedicated to promoting education, human rights, and socio-economic development for the Rohingya people. By gathering and analyzing data through surveys, we aim to create a deeper understanding of the needs of Rohingya communities, whether they are in refugee camps, diaspora communities, or in their places of origin in Myanmar.

Our surveys are designed to support NGOs, humanitarian agencies, and advocacy groups in their efforts to address critical issues faced by the Rohingya people. These issues include:

Access to Education: Assessing educational needs and opportunities for Rohingya children and adults in refugee camps and host communities.
Health and Well-being: Identifying gaps in healthcare services, nutrition, and mental health support, especially for vulnerable populations such as women, children, and the elderly.
Human Rights and Protection: Gathering information on the experiences of human rights violations, displacement, and protection needs in Rohingya communities.
Economic Development: Understanding the socio-economic challenges faced by Rohingya families, including access to livelihood opportunities, vocational training, and financial support.
Our Role in Supporting NGO Surveys
As part of our ongoing mission, the Arakani Rohingya Scholars Forum collaborates with local and international NGOs to design, implement, and analyze surveys that are tailored to the needs of the Rohingya population. We work closely with humanitarian organizations to ensure that these surveys are not only comprehensive and insightful but also culturally sensitive and ethically conducted.

Key activities include:

Designing Tailored Surveys: We work with NGOs to develop surveys that focus on specific issues, such as education, healthcare, or protection. Our team ensures that these surveys are designed to capture accurate, actionable data while respecting the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Rohingya community.

Conducting Field Surveys: Our network of local researchers and volunteers, many of whom are from the Rohingya community, helps to administer surveys in the refugee camps, settlements, and urban areas. This ensures that the data collected is both relevant and reflective of the community’s lived experiences.

Data Collection and Analysis: Once the surveys are completed, we analyze the data to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities for intervention. We work with NGOs to translate this data into actionable reports that can inform programming and advocacy efforts.

Supporting Advocacy and Policy Change: The data gathered through these surveys serves as a crucial tool for advocating on behalf of the Rohingya people. By presenting evidence-based findings to governments, international organizations, and policy-makers, we aim to drive positive change in the protection and rights of the Rohingya community.

How We Work with NGOs: Collaborative Approach
Our partnerships with NGOs are central to the success of our survey initiatives. We collaborate with organizations that share our vision of promoting human rights, social justice, and sustainable development for the Rohingya people. Together, we ensure that the voices of Rohingya refugees and displaced persons are heard, understood, and acted upon by the wider world.

By collecting valuable insights through surveys, we help NGOs improve their programs and services, ensuring that interventions are responsive to the real needs of the community. These surveys also provide NGOs with evidence that supports funding requests, strengthens advocacy efforts, and helps shape policies that positively impact the lives of Rohingya refugees.

Our Impact: Empowering the Rohingya Community
Through our NGO survey support, we are able to bridge the gap between the Rohingya community and the organizations working to support them. The data and feedback we collect not only provide NGOs with a clearer picture of the challenges and needs of the Rohingya people but also empower the community by giving them a voice in the process of shaping the programs that affect their lives.

By providing accurate and reliable data, the Arakani Rohingya Scholars Forum plays a critical role in supporting the Rohingya people in their pursuit of justice, dignity, and a brighter future.
