The Rohingya Scholars Forum (RSF) is committed to promoting education, Islamic values, and the spiritual development of the Rohingya community. As part of this commitment, RSF proudly organises an Annual Al-Qur’an Competition Program to encourage the love, understanding, and memorisation of the Holy Qur’an among children, youth, and adults.
The competition provides participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in Qur’an recitation (Tilawah), memorisation (Hifz), and understanding of the teachings of the Holy Qur’an. It also serves as a platform to inspire participants to strengthen their connection with Allah, develop good character, and uphold the moral values taught in Islam.
The Al-Qur’an Competition welcomes participants from different age groups and educational backgrounds. Categories may include Qur’an recitation, memorisation of selected surahs, full Hifz, Tajweed proficiency, and Islamic knowledge related to the Qur’an. Qualified judges evaluate participants based on pronunciation, Tajweed, fluency, memorisation, and overall presentation.
Beyond the competition itself, the event brings together scholars, teachers, students, parents, and community members in an atmosphere of faith, learning, and unity. It encourages families to support their children’s Islamic education while fostering friendship and mutual respect within the community.
The program also highlights the importance of preserving Islamic identity and promoting lifelong learning. Through educational activities such as this, RSF seeks to nurture future generations who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to serving both their community and society.
Outstanding participants receive certificates, trophies, medals, and special awards in recognition of their dedication and achievement. These awards serve as an encouragement for continued excellence in Qur’anic learning and inspire others to deepen their knowledge of the Holy Qur’an.
Through its Annual Al-Qur’an Competition Program, the Rohingya Scholars Forum reaffirms its mission to empower the community through education, faith, and leadership. By encouraging the study and practice of the Holy Qur’an, RSF hopes to inspire individuals to become responsible, ethical, and compassionate leaders who contribute positively to their communities and uphold the timeless values of Islam.
